Step 1: Make sure your Trax is charging.

Plug your wireless charger into a power source using the supplied cable and put your Trax on the charging surface. The Trax G+ device is normally charged within 2 hours.

It is important to use the USB cable that is supplied with your wireless charger. Otherwise your device will fail to charge correctly.

❗If the battery is totally depleted, it may take up to 30 min before the battery starts charging.

Power On:
Hold down the power button until a solid green light appears, and then release.

Power Off:
Press and hold the power button for 10+ seconds. Release when the LED starts blinking red.

Charging LED Indications:
Charging: Flashing Green
Fully charged: Solid Green

Step 2: Download the SnowTrax App.

Trax POC Edition comes with a free smartphone App that is intuitive and easy to use. The SnowTrax App is essential to your ski experience. You will be able to follow your trackers in real-time, and there’s no limit to how many trackers you can add.

Step 2: Download the SnowTrax App.

Trax POC Edition comes with a free smartphone App that is intuitive and easy to use. The SnowTrax App is essential to your ski experience. You will be able to follow your trackers in real-time, and there’s no limit to how many trackers you can add.

Step 3: Create a user account for the SnowTrax App.

Open the SnowTrax App on your smartphone and create a user account, to manage your Trax POC Edition devices. This account is different from your POC Shop account.

Step 4: Add your Trax device to your account.

  1. Go to “Menu” in the SnowTrax app.
  2. Select “Add Tracker”.
  3. Choose a name for your Tracker.
  4. Enter the Tracker ID & Device PIN written on the ID Card in the box. The ID Card is a small business card with essential details to identify your device, and can be found inside the box.
  5. Tap “Add Tracker” button.
  6. Your Trax will appear in the “Trackers” list.

Step 5: Update your Trax Firmware

  1. Make sure your tracker is on the charging surface.
  2. Go to “Menu” in the SnowTrax app.
  3. Select “More” from the top menu (the last button with three dots symbol).
  4. Select “Update devices”.
  5. Your list of active devices will be displayed on the screen.
  6. Tap on the list for the device you want to update.
  7. The update progression bar will be displayed on the screen.
  8. Your Trax has been updated to the latest firmware version.

 

Step 5: Update your SnowTrax Firmware

  1. Make sure your tracker is on the charging surface.
  2. Go to “Menu” in the SnowTrax app.
  3. Select “More” from the top menu (the last button with three dots symbol).
  4. Select “Update devices”.
  5. Your list of active devices will be displayed on the screen.
  6. Tap on the list for the device you want to update.
  7. The update progression bar will be displayed on the screen.
  8. Your Trax has been updated to the latest firmware version.

 

Make sure your Trax is charging during the entire time of the firmware update!

Failure to put the device on the wireless charging pad may lead to failure of the update.

Step 6: Activate the Data Plan for your device.

  1. Trax POC Edition comes with its own subscription, just like your mobile phone. As part of your POC purchase you will receive a Data Plan activation code.
  2. Enter the activation code you received from POC in the SnowTrax App – Tracker Settings. This will activate the data plan.
  3. Once the data plan is activated, the built-in SIM card will automatically connect your Trax device to the cellular network.

It’s time to GO OUTSIDE and turn on your device to get your first GPS position!

This can take up to a few minutes.
